Eagle Physicians & Associates, PA is an independent, physician-owned, Greensboro-based, multi-specialty group practice of 80+ physicians and other health care professionals with 13 offices in the Greensboro area (click on Specialties for more details).

Eagle's Board of Directors consists entirely of physicians in medical practice in Guilford County; it is not directed by hospital, insurance company or business executives. This type of physician-directed organization and leadership helps to ensure that Eagle's principal focus remains on the medical needs of patients, now and in the future.

Eagle was formed in 1995 by 33 private physicians already in five, long-established, small group practices in Greensboro. Eagle's founders felt it was important to remain independent from big insurance companies, national corporations and hospital systems in order to preserve physician leadership and flexibility, and to be responsive to patients' needs in an evolving health care environment.

Eagle has enjoyed outstanding growth, thanks to the support of its loyal patients, and many new families who have placed their confidence in us. To improve Eagle's ability to see patients promptly, we have increased the number of physicians and specialties available in our group practice, and have opened or expanded medical office facilities at Lake Jeanette, Guilford College, Battleground, Oak Ridge, Tannenbaum and Adams Farm (in progress), to complement our established offices (click on Locations for a list of locations and a map).

We understand your time is valuable and that medical problems can't always be "scheduled in advance". Even if you don't have an appointment, we encourage all patients to call to see if their personal physician at Eagle is available and can work you into his or her schedule. However, Eagle also offers extended hour, "walk-in" service for urgent care type problems during the evening, and on Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays at our Guildford College office. In October, Eagle opens its second extended hour, "walk-in" service at the Lake Jeanette office, providing convenient urgent care for children and adults each weeknight and on Saturday mornings (click on Urgent Care for more details).
